Whiffen and Andrews Air Conditioning Pty Ltd was formed in 1978 by the late Mr John Whiffen and Mr Warren Andrews.
Since 1978 the company has undertaken many projects most of them on a Design and Construct basis. Some of these projects include an Ice Storage installation at Penrith Leagues Club, Air to Air Heat exchanger technology at Parramatta Leagues Club, installations for Clubs & Pubs, Retail centres, as well as many commercial office installations.
In 1999, Whiffen and Andrews was purchased by AE Smith & Son Pty Ltd. The business was run as AE Smith Sydney Construction until May 2003 with Mr Brendon Gregg as NSW General Manager.
The business was then sold to Brendon Gregg who is currently the Senior Engineer at Whiffen and Andrews. He has worked for Whiffen and Andrews for the past 30 years. His experience and skills are in Engineering, Project and General Management of the business.
In 2015 Brendon decided to hand over the reins to the current Director's Matthew Morson and Andrew Short. They are well supported by staff who also have engineering qualifications and experience to compliment the skills required to operate in the "Design and Construct" market. These skills include, systemised yet innovative approaches to design, Project Resource Planning, co-ordination with other services and Project Supervision for quality control.
